Guild Rank Restructuring
Tuesday, February 12, 2008 by C. Carter
Due to the increased influx of members, and a misunderstanding of how invitations to Frequently Reported worked, I have redone the Guild Ranks. Additionally, I have elaborated on what is expected of you, as a member, as well as what you can expect from the guild.
- Founder - This rank is reserved for the initial founding members. This rank, along with GM, are the only ones allowed to invite people to the guild. Founders and the GM have final say in all matters and outrank all other ranks.
- Member - Once a Recruit donates 15 gold to the Guild Bank, they achieve this ranking, as well as access to the Bank's contents. That is the extent of the benefits of this rank. Members do not have rank over Recruits.
- Recruit - The fledgling members of Frequently Reported who have yet to deposit the prerequisite 15 gold into the coffers are considered Recruits. Recruits will be elevated to Member status as soon as they make the deposit.
- STFU Noob! - Occasionally, people become impassioned, irate or start acting in a manner that is inappropriate in Guild Chat. In these instances, a player can be demoted to this rank and unable to participate in Guild Chat.
- Alt - All alts, regardless of main character's rank, are of this rank.
So what is Frequently Reported? PvP? PvE? Heroics and Honor Grinds? Complete and utter goof-offs? The answer - in short - is yes to all the above. If you take a quick peek at the Level 70s on The Armory, you'll see a nice collection of purples obtained through some rather nice pwnage in Battlegrounds, as well as a piece or two of well-earned Reputation and Instance work. But, at our core, we're just a group of close friends who enjoy playing World of Warcraft together. They key to our success, as individuals, has been how close of friends the Founders are.
Many of you have asked about raiding. We will raid, once everyone gets to Level 70 and - more importantly - gets to know one another. There's isn't a deadline to set foot in Karazhan or Gruul's or TK. We'll go when I think we're ready. That won't happen until I am absolutely certain everyone can operate together peacefully and enjoy doing so.
We do have a namesake, the irony is not lost on me, and some of us truly live up to Frequently Reported (Trostnation, to name one). While few of us give a second thought to throwing a nub on the rack in AV chat, we don't take ruthless jabs at one another.
Please, take the time and get to know one another. Be friendly. Be courteous. Be fun. Those are the rules. Some people are more sensitive, and you should be aware of what can be offensive to any individual in question. Other members are so thick skinned, you can blast them with mom jokes all night long - but be prepared to get as good as you give. The important thing to do is learn the limitations of your guildmates, and abide their boundaries.
If you do step out of line, a Founder will most likely send you a polite tell asking you to tone it down. This is for both Guild Chat and Ventrilo. If it becomes a chronic issue, then you'll have to consider whether or not Frequently Reported is the best place for you... or it will be decided for you.
Speaking of Vent: It is a Private Server. Do NOT provide ANYONE the server information without the expressed permission of Dejantu, Ielle, Radd or Trostnation.
Please take the time, new members, and go through the articles on this blogsite. Most of your questions can be answered with a little reading. Welcome to the family and enjoy a long, fun stay with us. :)

This is your first entry of this size on multiple blogs, forums and/or website that I've read and NOT questioned your sexuality. Nicely done.
LOL! Agreed. On both counts. ;)
