Karazhan Weekend and Omen Instructions

Friday, April 4, 2008 marks our third trip into Karazhan. Invites will begin at approximately 5:00 PM Server Time. As always, consumables are the responsibility of the individual raider. We will wrap-up whatever remains after Friday evening over the course of the weekend.

Frank and I did some experimenting with Omen2 over the past few days to try and determine if there was a fix for the serious bugs everyone has been experiencing with Omen2 since its release last Tuesday. We have a reasonable amount of confidence that a solution has been reached. It is:

  1. Locate the Omen folder in C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns
  2. Drag the Omen folder to your Recycling Bin
  3. Empty the Recycling Bin
  4. Download the latest version of Omen from Ace2 (link) - make sure it is the latest posting
  5. Uncompress file and install the freshly downloaded Omen in C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns
To emphasize from a previous post: We will not pull a single mob in Karazhan until I am satisfied all raiding guildies have Omen2 installed.

    Instead of sending to recycle bin and deleting from there you could just hold down shift and press delete. THat'll completely bypass recycle bin, saving you more time so you can get back to playing WoW faster.

    Are you inferring that it takes a more advanced user to use Mac OS?


    When I come home I'm gonna soft-mod my xbox1 and put WoW on it.

    Then I won't have to fight my brother for the computer.

    And my hands won't become jello after long sessions of play.
