Karazhan on Our Event Horizon

Congratulations, Frequently Reported. Without any real PvE oriented play, we've managed to field ten level 70 players and - through no odd coincidence - that is the magic minimum number to enter into Karazhan.

Sure, after the 2.4 Patch, Karazhan is going to be passé. Who cares? It provides us with another avenue for fun-having... but this time more inclusive than BGs or the 5 person instances.

We may head in as soon as next week, so please be prepared. If you're wondering what "prepared" entails, here's a small "to do" list of things to acquire and bring along (Dannielle's inherent list-making tendencies being my inspiration):

  • One stack (20) of Heavy Netherweave Bandage - All classes (two stacks recommended).
  • One stack (5) of Super Healing Potion - All classes (melee should bring two stacks).
  • Two stacks (5) of Super Mana Potion - Mana users only.
  • Two stacks of buff food - Multiple cooks in-guild can cook special food for you if you do not have the skill.
  • Two stacks of water for mana users. Conjured Manna Biscuit stacks will suffice.
  • Class specific items, such as arrows, poisons, and all reagents necessary for spells.
  • Gold for repairs.
Additionally, it is highly recommended that you study the fights in advance - even if only to be slightly familiar with the battle so you can easily follow the brief explanations prior to engagements. There are a stunning number of guides and movies available all over the internet. I recommend visiting either WoWWikki or MMO Champion.

There is one mandatory AddOn (for now). Please download the latest version of Omen. It is available from quite a few AddOn/UI sites. We will also be using vent. Even if you cannot speak, it is important you listen. Our vent information is in the guild information tab.

Loot will be prioritized using Kaliban's Class Loot Lists, and distributed using Master Looter based on highest (1-100) need roll. Every person is entitled to one epic drop per run, with the exception of no-competition item needs and our tanks and healers (our tanks and healers are the exception and will be priority geared, due to the fact they represent the core of our raiding success). This ensures most everyone gets an even shot at phat lewts.

Those items not needed by anyone in the raid will be disenchanted into a Void Crystal and either banked in the Guild Bank or rolled for by those not recieving loot at the end of the night. If you require clarification, please don't hesitate to send me a tell prior to the raid.

Finally, this will take most of an evening. Once the date is set, please clear your schedule if you intend to go.
